Animal shelter closed because of flooding now open again

The Franklin County Humane Society is back open after closing its doors because of flooding.

The shelter manager and employees have spent days cleaning up the mess left behind.

While much of the furniture and supplies were lost, the animals were sent to foster homes during the clean up.

Animals evacuated last week are starting to return Thursday.

Adoptions will also be available again.
