Madison County, Ky - A Winchester man was killed early today in a single vehicle crash just east of Richmond.
The victim has been identified as 34-year old Joseph Wilson. Kentucky State Police say he was traveling east-bound on Kentucky Highway 52 near the junction with KY 374 when he apparently lost control of his truck, veered off the road crossing three lanes, and traveled more than 500 feet before striking a telephone pole. Authorities say Wilson was ejected from the vehicle on impact while the truck continued another 50 feet before stopping.
The Madison County Coroner declared Wilson dead at the scene. The Clark County Coroner notified the family. Police say Wilson was not wearing a seatbelt. Trooper Robert Purdy is investigating the accident.
