National Guard Troops Return From Iraq

Posted: Sat 6:41 PM, Aug 25, 2007

It was a happy homecoming for some Kentucky Army National Guard troops back from Iraq after almost a year of service.
The 410th Quartermaster Company landed at Bluegrass Airport Early Saturday morning.
Brief ceremonies were held in the Boyle County High School gym with a welcome home given by Governor Ernie Fletcher.
Citizen soldiers in the 410th come from many counties around the state but the majority live in the Boyle, Mercer, and Garrard County area.
