Barack Obama Visits The Bluegrass

By  |

Presidential candidate Barack Obama spoke to a packed house Sunday at the Lexington Convention Center.

The Democrat was finishing a 12-day tour of the country.

The attendees paid 25 dollars to see the Illinois senator, who is one of the top two Democratic candidates along with Senator Hillary Clinton.

Obama was coming from New Orleans where he spoke about recovery
from Hurricane Katrina.

He also appeared at a similar rally earlier this year in Louisville, where he was greeted by 3,000 people.

Obama says he hopes 2008 will be the year Kentucky ends a streak of voting for Republican presidential nominees.
