UPDATED: Pedestrian improving after being hit by car

A woman is improving a day after she was hit by a car.

22-year-old Rachel Nestor, along with Ashley Herrera, were both hit during a crash at the intersection of Broadway and High Street early Sunday morning.

Lexington Police say a car ran a red light, and hit another car, sending that one crashing into the two women.

As of Monday, Nestor had been upgraded to fair condition at UK Hospital.

Herrera, and the driver who allegedly ran the red light, Andrea Johnson were taken to UK, where they were treated and released.

Police say they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Police say the driver has not yet been charged, pending toxicology results.

We're learning more about Johnson's past with Lexington Police. On May 10th Johnson was arraigned on Alcohol Intoxication charges.

Court Documents state Johnson verbally abused and tried to kick hospital workers.

Her latest arrest, according to those same documents, was her third in the last year.
