Knox County Child Left On School Bus

A Knox County bus driver is on suspension today after a child is found left on a bus.

The boy was student at Boone Elementary in Barbourville.

Officials with the Knox County School System tell 27 NEWSFIRST the driver had parked the bus at Knox Central High School after his drop off rounds.

Five to ten minutes later, a custodian heard a child hollering on the bus and took him off the bus.

The school system says it's policy that drivers are supposed to do a walk through of their bus.

The driver has been suspended pending outcome of investigation by the Knox County Superintendent.
