UK receiver Steve Johnson was arrested in Lexington Wednesday night on charges of non payment of fines and resisting arrest. He was taken into custody following a traffic stop. Johnson bonded out of the Fayette County Detention Center a few hours later.
Johnson is considered the Cats third best receiver entering this season.
He's a junior college transfer who is originally from San Francisco.
Johnson came on late last year, catching 3 passes for 67 yards in the Music City Bowl.
Johnson was in practice Thursday and is expected to play in Saturday's game. He's out on a $200 bond.
Thursday Johnson's attorney told 27 NEWSFIRST the ticked for which the warrant was issued has been paid for.
Johnson's next court date has been set for September 21st.
