U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul received a warm welcome by GOP party members in Frankfort Saturday. This after a week filled with controversy.
Paul won the party's primary Tuesday and will now run against Democrat Jack Conway in November. However, Paul has found himself at the center of a controversy regarding comments he's made to national media outlets regarding his stance on civil rights. Since those comments were made, Paul has remained tight-lipped with the press and even canceled a scheduled appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday.
Paul was joined at Saturday's rally by Senator Mitch McConnell as well as Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson who Paul defeated in the primary.
