A Georgetown man was killed on the job after investigators say he fell from a two-story roof.
The Scott County coroner says 50-year-old Billy Joe Melton was a contract roofer, working in the Moon Lake subdivision north of Georgetown.
Around 10 Saturday morning, the coroner says Melton lost his footing, causing the fall.
He was taken to a nearby hospital, but died an hour later.
