A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is out for for much of northern and eastern Kentucky until 9 p.m. This is just east of the Lexington metro.
They hope it will become Kentucky's premier wine festival.
Lexington city leaders Monday announced plans for "Vintage Kentucky: A Toast to Henry Clay."
The wine festival is set for Saturday, September 4, from 1-7 p.m., at Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate.
Fifth District Councilmember Cheryl Feigel secured a state grant to get the festival started.
It's modeled after an event she became familiar with when she was an elected official in Texas.
Organizers expect around 15 to 20 Kentucky vineyards will participate in the festival.
It will also incorporate the popular "Evening at Ashland" jazz concert.
Those at the festival will be able to sample five wines for $10, or ten wines for $20. The $20 package also includes an etched wine glass to take home.
Food will also be available for purchase.
