Officials: Stepfather gave toddler alcohol

Police in Northern Kentucky believe a stepfather helped his two-year-old daughter drink gin mixed with sweet tea, resulting in her hospitalization.

Police charged 23-year-old Raymond Jackson, of Kenton County, with felony criminal abuse.

A judge set his bond at $10,000 dollars and ordered him to stay away from his stepdaughter, McKenzie Jackson.

Doctors say McKenzie was brought to them with a blood alcohol level of three times the legal limit for adults.

Reports said the girl was unresponsive when her mother found her.

The stepfather told authorities the girl had been sneaking the alcohol from him.

However, once the blood work was returned, investigators said the amount consumed was not consistent with the Jackson's claims.
