A band of heavy rain continues to sink southward into the region. We will have to keep a close eye on this later this evening into tonight. The rest of the forecast remains unchanged with a major winter storm moving in late Wednesday and Thursday.
The ramps to and from I-75 at Paris Pike reopened about 9:40 Tuesday night.
That's where a crash happened around 2:30 that afternoon.
Tthe driver of a semi-truck was headed down the off-ramps at Exit 113, and took the curve too fast.
His truck flipped onto its side, spilling its load of recycled plastic pellets.
The driver had to be cut from his truck, but luckily had only non-life threatening injuries.
Sgt. Pat McBride with the Lexington Police Department says, "the truck is totally destroyed, and the cargo spilled across the roadway, so its going to take about 4 to 5 hours clean-up by the time we pick up all the diesel fuel."
The driver was taken to UK hospital, but he is expected to be okay.
