Lexington Police Investigating "Road Rage" Shooting

LEXINGTON, KY - A University of Kentucky student was shot in the thigh last night on the sidewalk in front of his Johnston Boulevard residence near Nicholasville Rd.

Lexington Police report Daniel Doss was treated and discharged from Central Baptist Hospital after the incident which occured about 7:30 p.m. Steven Ramirez, Doss' roommate, told police some friends got into an argument with a young man and the driver of the car picking him up.

Ramirez told authorities the driver fired several shots, one of which hit Doss in the leg. Lexington police Lt. Craig Sorrell described the incident as "road rage."

Lexington police are looking for a silver Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows as well as the two suspects.
