6-Year-Old Boy Injured In Hit And Run Accident

Police are searching for the driver who hit a 6-year old boy in Winchester then left the scene Saturday.
It happened just after 1 p.m. on Maple st. in the parking lot of Bill's Carry Out.
Police say a truck came around the corner of the building and hit the 6-year-old.
The truck then took off.
The boy's friends and parents carried the child inside the store before first responders arrived.
He was then airlifted to U.K. and underwent surgery late Saturday evening, but is expected to recover.
