Charges have now been upgraded to murder after a stabbing victim dies from his wounds.
20-year-old Chris Brogli died late Monday night, several days after being stabbed.
Officials at the Fayette County Detention Center say 19-year-old Rio Brown is now being held there on a murder charge.
Police had charged Brown with assault after the stabbing.
Those charges were upgraded Tuesday morning, because of Brogli's death.
Investigators say Brogli was stabbed three times Thursday night, including once in the back, during a fight on Lombardy Street in Lexington.
Family members tell us Brogli had been on life support since the stabbing, and was taken off it Sunday night.
Fayette County court officials tell us no new court date is set yet for Brown to answer to the murder charge, but he's due in court Thursday for a hearing on the original assault charge.
In the meantime, Clark Legacy Center is handling funeral arrangements for Brogli. No service details have been released.
