The cold front is now working into eastern Kentucky with winds gusting to near 40mph at times. Temps have dropped into the 30s behind the front and we've had reports of sleet and snow mixing with the rain in Lexington.
An argument that led to violence took place early Wednesday morning inside a home on Ky. 1193. A man…stabbed several times…drove himself to Baptist Regional Medical Center…a distance of at least 20 miles. That was about 6 a.m. Kentucky State Police were called, and the victim was airlifted to UK Hospital. Then several hours later, a woman shows up at the hospital…with a cut hand and other bruises. Police aren’t commenting on what led to the violence or if either will face criminal prosecution.
“We’ve spoken to one suspect. We will attempt to contact the other subject. Get their sides of the story,” said Det. Mark Allen with Kentucky State Police.
Police have not released the name of either person in the case. The man is said to not have life threatening injuries, and the woman was treated and released from the Corbin hospital.
