A death investigation is underway in Lexington after a man is killed while painting his home.

Emergency crews rushed to Mulberrry Rd. Monday afternoon after his wife found him unconscious in the back yard.

Emergency crews say the man was injured after falling from his roof. 29-year old Jacob Lathery was rushed to U.K. Hospital where he later died.

The coroner says Lathery may have been shocked by exposed wires before he fell, but an autopsy will determine exactly how he died.

Kentucky Utilities would not comment on the incident until the coroner releases his findings.
