Reward offered in recent murder case

As Lexington Police continue to look for the person responsible for the murder of a central Kentucky man, Crime Stoppers puts up a reward, hoping to help find the killer.

Police found 33-year-old Stephen Kavanaugh dead from a gunshot wound on West 6th Street Friday night. Police were in the area on another call at the time of the murder. Officers reported hearing the shots. When they arrived to check it out they saw a man run from the alley. Police are still looking for that man who's described as a black male, in his 20's, around 5'7", wearing a white shirt and black pants.

Crime Stoppers is offering $1,000 for information leading to the killer's arrest. Call 859-253-2020. The call is anonymous.
