Domestic dispute leads to standoff

It was quite the scene in one central Kentucky neighborhood Monday morning, when officers responded to a domestic violence call that led to a standoff. It happened just before 11:00am at a home on Pocahontas Trail in Georgetown.

Georgetown Police say they got a call that a woman had been assaulted and when they arrived on the scene, the victim told them the suspect was still in the house. The standoff lasted a little over an hour and officers were forced to evacuate nearby houses.

When officers got inside the home, they didn't find the suspect. Shortly after, he called them from Georgetown Community Hospital. Police went to the hospital and arrested 21-year-old Kevin Vogel on domestic violence charges.
