Klan Business Cards Left In Neighborhood

Posted: Wed 10:37 AM, Sep 05, 2007

OWENSBORO, Ky. (AP) - Some residents in a western Kentucky neighborhood say they are disturbed and angry after finding calling cards from the Ku Klux Klan at their homes recently.

The Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer reports that the business cards are white with a screened American flag image on both sides along with the KKK logo.

Residents of an Owensboro neighborhood found them Sunday morning. The cards were left at the ends of driveways and in mailboxes. They read: "For your safety, the Ku Klux Klan was watching over your neighborhood as you slept."

Resident Debbie Gilbreath said her initial reaction was disbelief that the Klan would be in the neighborhood and be so bold.
