FEMA issues warning about flood-related scams

FEMA has issued a scam alert for people still cleaning up from last month's flooding.

FEMA officials say they've received reports of people showing up at homes. They scam artists pretend to be disaster officials and charging money to process a registration or to inspect a home.

FEMA says it does not charge fess to process any kind of disaster aid.

They're also warning about contractors who ask for money or personal information in advance then disappear.
