Ky. company hopes module will help in rural areas

WHITLEY CITY, Ky. (AP) - More than 100 volunteers from Kentucky
Baptist Fellowship are about to get to work in southeastern
Kentucky building a home for a single mother and her family in
McCreary County.
Such building projects aren't unusual, but this group will be
using a product created by a Kentucky company to try to help
eliminate homes with substandard kitchen and bath facilities in
rural areas.
Kentucky Highlands Community Development Corp. says in a
statement that the plan involves using a kitchen-bath module built
in a factory. The unit is delivered to the site and the house is to
be built around it.
The building project is scheduled to get under way Thursday in
Whitley City.
