It happened in the early hours of May 31st. Newspaper carrier Don Silvestri was delivering the Herald-Leader newspaper to homes in the Douglas Avenue area around 4:30 in the morning. That's when he encountered two younger men.

"Two black male subjects in their late teens, early twenties. One was approximately 5'9", the other taller. They were wearing do-rags," says Detective. William Persley with the Lexington Police Dept.

The newspaper carrier continued on to Breathitt Avenue. That's when the two guys appeared again.

"As they approached him they spoke some unintelligible words to him and they shot him and grabbed one of his newspapers and fled the scene," says Detective Persley.

Now police are looking for the two guys who got away in this robbery case.
