New Information Into Mysterious Death Of Kentucky Woman

27 NEWSFIRST has learned more about the mysterious death of a central Kentucky woman earlier this summer.

The Fayette County Coroner now says 22-year-old Ashley Foley died of a viral infection, not a bacterial one.

He also says tests appear to show she died from viral meningitis, which is not nearly as contagious as the bacterial strain.

Foley and her half-sister Allison Foley both got sick in July, but Allison was able to recover.

Officials thought the women may have caught something from animals they had been around.
