Breast Feeding Protest Goes National

Posted: Thu 2:56 PM, Sep 06, 2007

A protest aimed at Applebee's over its breast feeding policies is going national.

The Herald Leader reports this morning that Brooke Ryan had been hoping to bring local attention to the matter.

Now other breast feeding mothers in 30 states plan a simultaneous protest at dozens of Applebee's on Saturday.

It all started when Applebee's workers asked Ryan to cover herself while she breast fed her seven month old son in a booth in the back of a restaurant.
