Tired Of I-75 Delays? Get Used To It.

Updated: Fri 10:24 AM, Sep 07, 2007

If you've driven into Lexington recently from the North or the West you've probably run into backups on the interstate.

Road crews are re-surfacing an area around Exit 115 at Newtown Pike.

Most days traffic is backed up beyond the Northern Split. May 2008 is when all of the work is scheduled to be completed.

Relief in the Southbound lanes will come by late October. But over on New Circle, delays will continue for at least another three weeks.

If you want to avoid a potential traffic back up, the State Transportation Cabinet suggests you get off I-64 in Midway and take U.S. 421 into Lexington.
