High School Vandalized Ahead Of Game With Cross-Town Rival

Updated: Fri 11:17 AM, Feb 05, 2010

It's one of the biggest football rivalries in the state and now officials at Boyle County and Danville High Schools say some are taking that rivalry too far.

Workers spent a lot of time this week cleaning up the stadium at Boyle County High School after vandals spray-painted several messages.

Friday morning as people arrived at Danville High School, they saw much of the same thing painted on the front of the school building.

The vandalism was discovered at around one in the morning and crews spent much of the morning using paint and power washers to remove the paint.

The football teams from both schools played Friday night at Danville High School.
Extra security on hand for the game, but no incidents were reported.
Danville beat Boyle County 21 to 14.
