More Interstate 64 congestion expected

Get ready for another traffic tie-up along part of a Kentucky interstate.

Last week, we told you about the congestion on eastbound I-64 in Clark County.

Crews are working to widen the lanes.

Now, transportation officials say you can expect to see more cars in the area.

This week, a bridge that carries U.S. 60 over the interstate will be demolished.

Traffic is already being detoured from U.S. 60 onto the interstate.

State officials expect a new bridge to be in place by September.

Crews are working to widen I-64 to six lanes between Winchester and the Mountain Parkway.
