Officials, Families To Meet About Moving Graves

Updated: Mon 2:52 PM, Sep 10, 2007

Family members have a chance to speak out today about a plan to move their loved ones.

Members of the State Transportation Cabinet are meeting with some emotional family members today to talk about concerns over a project that would involve moving 30 graves in Scott County.

The project will widen US 25 near the Fayette-Scott County line in preparation for the 2010 World Equestrian Games, cutting through part of Crestlawn Cemetery.

Those who are worried about having to move their loved ones remains can meet with Transportation Cabinet officials at the cemetery, from 10 this morning until 8:30 tonight.
