New information about a lawsuit filed against the Lexington Police Department and the city.

Both have now gone to a federal judge asking that former police officer Joshua Cromer's lawsuit be dismissed.

Cromer lost his job earlier this year after police found controversial postings on his My-Space page.

Many of them were related to his arrest of country music singer John Michael Montgomery.

Cromer has also filed a slander lawsuit against the singer.
