Fayette County courthouse evacuated

The Fayette County courthouse was evacuated for a little more than an hour Monday morning after a bomb threat. Authorities say someone called court offices around 8:30am to say there was a bomb in the building.

Authorities evacuated both the Circuit and District Court buildings while a search was conducted. Sheriff's deputies did not find anything suspicious in either building and let people back in shortly after 9:30am.

The Sheriff's Department is now investigating who made the call.
