Inmates removed from Scott County Detention Center

A hot water issue at a central Kentucky jail has caused officials to transport inmates to other facilities.

Officials at the Scott County Detention Center say a problem with the boiler system forced them to move more than 80 inmates today. The inmates were transported to jails in Grant, Fayette, Shelby and Woodford counties. Officials say it could be up to a week before the water problem is corrected at the Scott County Jail.
