Jail Escapee Recaptured In Montgomery County

PARIS, KY - Escaped Bourbon County Jail inmate Larry Crump, 23, was recaptured a little after ten o'clock Friday night in Montgomery County, near Mt. Sterling.

According to Bourbon County Jailer Brent Deweese several law enforcement agencies including the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Federal Marshalls, Kentucky State Police and Bourbon County authorities all converged on a residence of a friend of Crump's in the Mt. Sterling area.

He was captured with little resistance and no violence. Deweese, who was there at the time of Crump's recapture, told WKYT-TV Crump had little to say after his arrest. Crump was then transported and reincarcerated at the Bourbon County lockup.

Crump was in jail serving a 20-year sentence on multiple charges including escape and fleeing. Crump escaped by getting through a device used for mail at the jail at around 6:30 Thursday morning.

State Police didn't learn of the escape until 10:00 Thursday night.
Crump is back in the Bourbon County Jail.
He was serving a 20 year sentence on several charges including a previous escape.
