A former employee at a central Kentucky nursing home has been indicted for neglect.
According to the Kentucky Attorney General's office, the Franklin County grand jury indicted 46-year-old Elizabeth Elaine Royse, who used to be a nurse at the Golden Living Center in Frankfort.
Royse was indicted for knowing neglect of an adult.
Investigators say in December, 2007, Royse knew a resident at the nursing home was at risk for dehydration, but she knowingly neglected to execute several of her duties, including monitoring the resident's fluid intake.
Investigators say that led to the resident becoming very dehydrated and hospitalized.
The facility received a regulatory Type A citation in 2007, following a Cabinet for Health and Family Services survey.
Royse's bond has been set for $20,000. She's scheduled to be arraigned July 23.
