More construction projects getting underway in Lexington

Get ready for more road construction and delays in Lexington.

Tuesday evening, orange barrels will go up along a stretch of New Circle Road between Versailles and Georgetown Roads, and then later this week along I-75 at the Newtown Pike exit.

The stretch of New Circle Road will be getting resurfaced.

The project begins Tuesday night, and work will be going on from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. each night.

While work is going on, traffic will go down to just one lane. The speed limit will also be dropped to 45 miles per hour.

The New Circle Road project is expected to last until mid-August.

Work along I-75 at exit 115, which is Newtown Pike, gets underway Friday.
