Posted: Fri 8:46 AM, Jul 09, 2010

A man has been released from the hospital after Kentucky State Police say they were forced to shoot him.

Troopers were called to a home on Elk Road in the Chappell community of Leslie County, where two men were arguing outside a home Thursday night.

Police say one of the men, Clayton Nantz, pointed a gun at officers, so they shot him.

Nantz has been treated for a gunshot wound and is now in the Leslie County Jail.

He is charged with attempted assault.
