LEXINGTON - Lexington-Fayette Metro Police are investigating a fatal hit and run accident that occured shortly before midnight last night killing a Lexington man.
The victim has been identified as 28-year old Marcus Miles who was struck and killed at the corner of Georgetown Street and New Circle Road at 11:48 p.m. Saturday.
Miles was rushed to UK Medical Center and was pronounced dead by UK Medical Staff at 12:16 a.m. Sunday. The cause of death according to Deputy Coroner Shea Titlow was multiple blunt force trauma.
Police are investigating. Details of the incident are sketchy. No description of the vehicle involved in the hit and run was available early Sunday morning.
