Police have found the car taken at gunpoint last night at the intersection of Main and Newtown Pike.

The car was found, abandoned, just a few feet from where it was taken.

A man told Lexington Police he was carjacked around 11:30 Monday night.

The victim told police he was sitting at a stoplight at Main Street and Newtown Pike, when a man approached his car. He says the man pulled out a gun, and demanded his car.

The suspect then took off, outbound on Newtown Pike, while the victim went to a Marathon station to call for help.

Now that police have the car, they say there's a good chance they'll find the carjacker, too.
