For the first and only time, Lexington residents got the chance to voice their opinions about what kind of person would make a good replacement for Lexington Police Chief Anthany Beatty when he res gins in January.
Only three people showed up to the meeting Thursday night to give their feedback to a committee responsible for finding a new chief. But committee members say the small turn out is a sign residents are satisfied with the job Lexington police are doing.
They say they hope to wrap up their search for a replacement by October. Those who didn't get to share their thoughts at the meeting, but would still like the chance, can submit them on-line by clicking the link below.
