Flood leaves state resort park without running water

It's bring your own water to the Carter Caves State Park after the flooding rains in Olive Hill caused water pipes that take water to the park to break.

As crews work to fix the pipes, the Park Manager says the lodge, cottages, and the restaurant will be closed. The park's campground, stables, golf course and mini golf course will remain open.

Some of the campers we spoke with say the only inconvenience they felt was the lack of bathrooms and showers, otherwise they say it's typical for people to bring their own water.

The Park's Manager says crews are working around the clock to repair the damaged pipes but there is no time line as to when the water pipes are expected to be fixed.
