Teens accused of attacking deputy

Two teenagers face charges for allegedly attacking a deputy.

Officials in Johnson County say Deputies were removing the 15-year-old and 16-year-old from a home on Samual Drive in Staffordsville when they became violent.

Police say they bit the deputy and attacked him using a razor blade, a screw drier and a metal object.

Both were taken to the Boyd County Juvenile Detention Center charged with first degree assault on a police officer and wanton endangerment.

The deputy was treated at a local hospital and released.

Police had arrested the teens' step-father shortly before the incident because, they say, he was drunk and not taking care of them.
