Jail escapee caught in Tennessee

After nearly three weeks on the run an inmate who escaped from jail is back in custody.

Police in Lafollette, Tennessee arrested Nathan Pierce Friday.

They say they found him hiding in the shower of a home.

They credit a tip for leading them Pierce.

Police in Scott County had been looking for him since July 4 when, they say, he escaped from jail while painting a door that led to the outside of the facility.

Pierce is now awaiting extradition back to Scott County.
