Saturday was another hot day in Central Kentucky. Many people opted to do things like head to an area pool to keep cool but not everyone had the chance to do that.
Hundreds of soccer players had to endure the heat in Woodford County at the Bluegrass State Games. Parents and coaches kept lots of water and sports drinks on hand for the players. There were also medical crews stationed at every field to help out if someone were to get overheated.
In Lexington, area pools offered half price admission. Additionally, numerous cooling stations were set up throughout the city to give residents a place to keep cool and have access to free water.
