The cold front is now working into eastern Kentucky with winds gusting to near 40mph at times. Temps have dropped into the 30s behind the front and we've had reports of sleet and snow mixing with the rain in Lexington.
A neighbor managed to save a horse from a burning barn this morning.
The barn was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived at the scene on Huffman Road in Shelby County. The building was used to store hay and investigators say the wind spread the fire to several bales outside the barn. The fire chief says the fire will have to burn itself out. That could take up to 3 days.
