Anniversary Of Lexington Flood Deaths

Updated: Fri 11:14 PM, Sep 21, 2007

This weekend marks the anniversary of a deadly flooding accident in Lexington.

On September 23rd of last year, two University of Kentucky grad students were swept away by high water on Nicholasville Road near Alumni Drive.

The bodies of Lauren Fannin and Lindsay Harp were discovered the next morning.

A handrail now stands near the site of the accident in an effort to keep something like this from happening again.
