Fast-food giant Yum! Brands Incorporation is preparing to launch a global hunger-relief campaign.
The campaign is aimed at raising tens of millions of dollars to feed more than 500 thousand children for a year.
Yum! is working with the World Food Programme, an agency of the United Nations, for a series of events and volunteer activities in October called "World Hunger Relief Week."
The Louisville based company owns chains including KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut.
