Showers and thunderstorms will continue this evening. A Flash Flood Watch remains active until 8pm for southeastern Kentucky.
Beginning Tuesday, July 27, the Tide Loads of Hope mobile laundry program will be in Pike County with its “Loads of Hope” team to provide clean clothes to those affected by recent flooding. Hosted by Food City, the Tide Loads of Hope mobile laundry program will provide free laundry services to residents and relief workers in Pike County who do not have access to clean clothing.
Residents and workers are encouraged to drop off their laundry to be washed, dried and folded, free of charge. There is a maximum of two loads accepted per family per day, in order to help as many people as possible. No bedding, jackets, or other large pieces will be accepted.
The Loads of Hope truck will be available in Pike County from Tuesday, July 27 from 12PM – 6PM and Wednesday, July 28 through Monday, August 2 from 8AM – 6PM. Tide will be setup at the Food City on South Mayo Trail in Pikeville.
