Sentencing in Murder for Hire Case

A federal judge has sentenced a northern Kentucky man to eight years in prison for use of an interstate commerce facility in the commission of a murder-for-hire, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

A federal jury found 50-year-old Brian Curtis Huff guilty. The US Attorney's Office says evidence at trial established that the Ft. Thomas man offered to pay a co-worker $6,000 to kill his wife’s ex-husband. He
later provided that co-worker with a loaded firearm that had an obliterated serial number. The co-worker contacted the FBI after being solicited by Huff.

Under federal law, Huff must serve 85% of his prison sentence. After he's released he'll be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office for 3 years.
