Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) announced Tuesday financial results for the second quarter of 2010. The company called the report good news for both of its printer divisions, reporting results surpassed expectations and revenue growth and profit expansion in all geographic regions.
The company says revenue of $1.03 billion increased 14% compared to the same quarter last year due primarily to double-digit growth in both hardware and supplies revenue. It credits the company’s improved product lines, growth in managed print services, the shift in inkjet to business customers and ongoing strong growth in workgroup lasers and higher end inkjet products.
Just last month Lexmark closed the acquisition of Perceptive Software, a ECM software company. The company says the addition will build upon and strengthen its industry-focused document workflow solutions and managed print services offerings.
