Head-on crash kills two

Families remember two killed in crash

A busy highway has reopened after a head-on crash killed two drivers.

The Harrison County Sheriff tells 27 NEWSFIRST that the victims are 21 year-old Matthew Herrington and 30 year-old Miranda Walters.

They were the drivers of two, separate Camrys that collided on U.S. 62 near Switzer Pike.

The family of Miranda Walters says she was driving the red Camry and was on her way to work in Georgetown. She leaves behind a four year-old son and husband. Authorities have identified the second driver as 21year-old Matthew Herrington of Cynthiana.

There were no passengers in either car.

The sheriff says speed was the most likely factor in the crash.
